The Independent Corrupt Practice and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has asked former minister of Information and Culture, Mohammed, to appear before a federal high court in Abuja. This according to ICPC, is over a N2.5 billion fraud allegation case which involves the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
So many critics have ‘attacked’ the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for declaring that the state is Christian one. The governor said this on Sunday while speaking during the Lord’s Chosen Crusade with the theme: “God has the power to do this or that” at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The Governor of River state, Nyesom Wike has promised that the state will bear the financial burdens of all candidates that will be writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) from 2020. The governor made this known in a statement on Thursday, adding that both indigenes and non-indigenes in the state will benefit from this.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said on Thursday that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu should be apologising to Nigerians and not insulting their sensitivity. he opposition party said this while reacting to a comment by the INEC boss, describing the commission as the most improved public institution in Nigeria.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has called out Rivers state governor, Nyesom for declaring the state a Christian one. This was contained in a statement by Ishaq Akintola, director of the MURIC on Thursday.
