Fayemi's Aide Employs 62 Persons As Personal Aide

Makinde Araoye, the special adviser to Ekiti state governor on Federal Matters, Kayode Fayemi, has confirmed the appointment of 62 personnel as his aide.

According to the governor’s aide who made this known while fielding questions from journalists in Ado where he gave them their first salaries, he said they were paid from his own purse and not from the state government.

His words:

“The 62 personal assistants appointed today are not for Makinde Araoye, they are to support the government of Governor Kayode Fayemi,”

“I’m sharing my salary to the PAs, they are the ambassadors of JFK in the Ekiti south federal constituency 1.

They are to defend the government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi. I didn’t appoint them to start singing praises of Makinde Araoye but to support the good work of Governor Kayode Fayemi.”

“This is not for any political gain, I’m not contesting for any position. Presently, I’m the special adviser on federal matters to the governor, so I am not contesting for any position,” he said.

“They are appointed to support APC and the government of Kayode Fayemi.”
