Properties worth millions of naira at a market were lost to a wildfire on Monday night at Kosoko Road, Berger bus stop, Ojodu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
There was pandemonium as several buildings in the market were razed to the ground by the fire outbreak in the night.
The Executive Director, Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASTMA, Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, confirmed the news, saying that buildings which housed several shops selling clothing materials and other goods were on fire.

Oke-Osanyitolu, however, said the actual cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, adding that the actual loss would be determined upon conducting post-disaster enumeration after the fire had been put out.
“The operation is still ongoing, our responders at the scene include: LASG Fire Service, NSCDC, NPF and LASEMA,”
