An Osun State socio-political group, the Ifesowapo Society, on Saturday said that the former governor of Lagos, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is eminently qualified to lead Nigeria in 2023.
This was made known by the group’s president, Samuel Jegede, made briefing journalists in Osogbo, Osun State.
According to Jegede, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has what it takes to lead the country if the 2023 presidency is zoned to the South West, following his track records of achievements — especially the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as president.
He noted that right from the days of Obafemi Awolowo, the region has always provided visionary leadership for the country.
He, therefore, urged the South West governors to promote good governance for the region to be considered first when it is the turn of the South to produce the president in 2023.
