I Was Shocked When Our Residential Address Was Published Online – Timi Dakolo

Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has expressed worries and displeasure over the broadcasting of his residential address all over the internet.

The singer said since the address was made public, his life, that of his wife and kids have been put to risk by ‘strange faces’.

Dakolo at a press briefing after raising alarm on Saturday that strange men with guns were in front of his home, said his wife, Busola, had filed a petition against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), accusing him of raping her when she was a teenager.

“On the 27th of June, my wife, through her legal representative filed a petition at a police station about Mr Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, for raping a minor.

“The petition was filed at the office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in Alagbon, Ikoyi. We had four meetings, over six hours at the police station, the day before and the day after.”

“The AIG himself personally assigned the file and immediately asked for an expeditious action to investigate the case.

“We decided not to publicise the fact that we had our case filed as we believe the law will be followed duly.

On Saturday’s incident, the singer said, “I never expected that our residential address where my children live will be released to the public. Since then, I have noticed how my life, my wife’s life, and my children have been put to risk by strange faces.

“The attempt on Saturday to abduct my wife or me because the people that came to drop a letter at my house came with guns and a tinted vehicle.

“When they followed my wife into the compound, someone said that his boss wanted to see her in the bus and she refused to go see the person.”
