The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar has filed an N2.5 billion libel suit against President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie. Atiku, a former vice president of Nigeria is demanding that Onochie retracts the “false information” disseminated about him.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday said that it owes no explanation to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the modalities for appointments into the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. This follows a comment by PDP National Spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, that there is infighting among leaders of the ruling party because of appointments and “booty sharing”.
An Abuja based man has claimed that he was given ten thousand Naira to stage a protest in order to counter the move of people who came to protest in the church premises on the ground that the senior pastor of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo, must step aside. According to the man who made this known while fielding questions from journalists, he said he was offered the said amount of money and soft drink to counter the protest which took place in the church premises earlier today.
Nigerian teacher, identified as Okor Edewor, has taken to social media to share the kind favour shown by one of her students towards her another classmate who was in need. According to her, the eight-year-old student, Favour Chidi, helped her fellow colleague, Helen buys an important novel.
President Muhammadu Buhari:s side on social media, Lauretta Onochie has said that Nigerians should rather be calling for the arrest of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo rather than asking him to step down from the pulpit. The presidential aide said this on Sunday while reacting to #Churchtoo movement, a protest that was organised against the pastor over allegations of rape, by Busola Dakolo.

Nigerians have taken to their Twitter handle to react after Modele, wife of embattles senior pastor of Coza, Biodun Fatoyinbo, re-echoed her husband’s statement by saying her husband didn’t rape anybody even as an unbeliever.

Modele Fatoyinbo, the wife of the embattled senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly global senior pastor, Biodun, Sunday defended her husband against the rape allegations by Busola Dakolo. Speaking at the church headquarters in Abuja on Sunday, Mrs Fatoyinbo said “ even as an unbeliever will my husband rape someone, ” but Biodun Fatoyinbo stopped his wife from talking further about the rape allegations.
A former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has penned a lengthy piece on marriage and the way it was intended to be. According to Reno, marriages these days have been changed from what God planned it to be.
President Buhari and VP Yemi Osinbajo, have been challenged by the Peoples Democratic Party to publicly declare their assets as a way of proving that they are not corrupt. President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, was also added to the list of people who need to declare their assets to convince Nigerians.
