Ministerial Screening: Senators Kick As Senate President Asks Amaechi To ‘Take A Bow’

Senate president Ahmed Lawan sparked annoyance Danjuma Goje, when Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was asked to take a bow when it was his turn for screening and confirmation. Goje, from Gombe state raised a point of order, saying it was against the tradition not screening Amaechi, but Lawan said that the tradition of ‘bow and go’ would be extended to former members of the House of Assembly.

EFCC Seals Off Okorocha’s Properties

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have reportedly sealed off Rochas Okorocha’s Foundation College, All-In Supermarket and East High Primary and Secondary school owned by his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu. Rochas Okorocha, is the former governor of Imo state now representing Imo West senatorial district at the Senate.
