Kogi state governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have rejected indirect primary which the party sought to adopt. The aspirants, on Monday, vehemently kicked against the mode of primaries for choosing its candidate for the November governorship election in Kogi State.
More Nigerians have continued to react to a recent comment by Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai that no northerner has been caught engaging in fraud as they are largely referred to as most honest Nigerians.

The General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua, has said that Nigerians must pray for President Muhammadu Buhari because there’s no perfect man on earth. The cleric said this on Sunday during service at the international headquarters of the church in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos.
Senator Elisha Abbo, the Nigerian lawmaker caught on camera assaulting a woman in an adult shop will be arraigned in court on Monday. The police have filed charges against the lawmaker, representing Adamawa North Senatorial District under the Peoples Democratic Party, and will appear before the Court this afternoon. Although the lawmaker had on July 3 admitted to the incident and rendered a public apology, police say his recorded admission of wrongdoing apology would put him in an awkward situation in court.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called Buba Galadima, a spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign Organisation, as its witness in the ongoing presidential election tribunal sitting in Abuja. Galadima is a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, whose victory in the February 23rd presidential election is being contested by Atiku Abubakar and his party, PDP.
A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to a recent comment by Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai stating that “no one from the north has ever been convicted of 419 or fraud. ” Reacting via his Twitter handle on Monday, the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party accused the northern leaders of looting more than any region in the country.

A video has surfaced online wherein members of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, were seen dancing merrily during the last Sunday service of the church which held yesterday, July 7th. The video which was posted on the church’s official Instagram page has been viewed by some people as an attempt by the Church to paint a picture of ”all is well within the church” to the general public.
An Osun state Corps member identified as Ayomikun Juliana has died after allegedly applying sniper insecticide to her hair to kill lice. It was reported that the deceased had gone to the salon to treat her hair when she was told her hair was infested with lice.
