Nigerians react as court orders Patience Jonathan to forfeit $8.4 million, N9.2 billion to the federal government

Nigerians have taken to social media to react reports that justice Olatoregun of a Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of billions of naira and millions of dollars traced to a former First Lady, Patience Jonathan.

The court ordered that the monies $3.65m, $4.7m, N1.81bn, N226.38m, N1.09bn, N39.42m, N7.22m, N55.94m, N174.17m, N858.93m, N1.81bn, N1.1bn, N317.40m, N1.90bn and $429.3m traced to the former First Lady be forfeited to the federal government.

Since the news broke on Monday, many Nigerians have taken to different social media platforms especially Twitter to air their displeasure at the number of public funds that have been traced to the ex-first lady.
