Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo state

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has dared those he described as ‘Abuja politicians’ to come and take over the Edo State House of Assembly.

Governor Obaseki, who queried where those politicians that joined in the struggle to create ‘Let the people lead’ mantra suddenly disappeared to.

The governor said this while speaking at a mega rally in Benin City.

According to Obaseki, both himself and his Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu and Secretary to State Government, Barr. Osarodion Ogie are competent enough to take the state to greater heights.

He added that though the political tension was aimed at distracting him, it wouldn’t work, as he is very focused on the delivery of the dividends of democracy.
