Timothy Owoeye, the lawmaker who was caught bathing completely nude at a market in Osun State, in the dead of the night, eventually emerged Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly on 6th June, 2019.
Owoeye had made headlines last September, after a video of him bathing in public for alleged ritual purposes ahead of the 2019 elections.

The lawmaker, who was the Majority leader at the time, representing Ilesa East Constituency in the State’s House of Assembly, was seen in the video begging residents not to expose him.
This is not the first time Nigerian politicians are caught in ritual web.
