Teacher Recounts How He Was Sacked For Taking Stand Against Examination Malpractice

A Maths and English teacher, Abdulaziz Ibn Adams, has recounted how he lost his job for speaking against examination malpractice in a school he taught.

Adams, who taught in a secondary school, revealed that the principal of the school fired him from his N32,000 job over his refusal to help students in their NECO exam.

He wrote;

“I lost my teaching job today(32k) where I teach (Maths & F/Maths), because I refused to assist the students in the exam hall (during Neco) having taught them very well.

PS: This happened 2weeks ago.
I can do any legitimate job.
I just need a job asap, please kindly RT

The principal called me last night, begging me to return that it was a decision made in the subconscious mind.

“Apparently, someone notified them about the twitter thread, I told him I’ve forgiven them, but it’s a start of something great. I thanked him for my time there & he wishes me well… I’m overwhelmed with love shown to me, coupled with the fact that I now know there are a lot of good people in this country despite the despicable nature of the country.
