Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido has been slammed with a lawsuit and dragged before an Igbosere Magistrate Court 2, Lagos State, over an alleged fraud of N4, 000,000.00 (Four Million Naira).
The case came up in court on the 23rd of May, 2019 with his Personal Assistant, Busari Idris Temitope (Alias Aloma) as the defendants in the suit marked MCL/702/19, as well as Davido Music Worldwide label.
The Defendants, including Davido, were absent in court when the case was called.
Their lawyers were also absent.
According to reports, Davido and his Personal Assistant were dragged to court for fraudulently collecting N4, 000,000.00 from an American based Nigerian born upcoming artist Andre- Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori, who is signed to Always on Cash Records.

Court papers revealed that the money was paid to ensure Davido features in a musical collaboration with artist sometime in January 2019, but he is yet to do so and has also refused to refund the money.
The claimant is also asking for 15% interest on the principal sum of N4,000,000.00 which should start from the date of payment to any date that the sum is finally recovered.
The case has been adjourned to the 23rd of August 2019 for commencement of trial.
