A Domino’s Pizza worker has been praised for helping to save the life of a woman after she secretly passed a note to the staff that she’s being held against her will by her abusive husband.
The 32-year-old unnamed woman had reportedly been allowed to go pick up a pizza order made earlier that day after being allowed by her husband.
While there she was able to slip an SOS note to with her address on it to a cashier stating she was being held captive.
The cashier wasted no time in informing the police in Anthony, Texas, who in turn went to the woman’s home in Chamberino, New Mexico and found the woman “bound, gagged and beaten inside a room,” Police Chief Carlos Enriquez said.
Enriquez said: “The officers didn’t take [the note] as a joke and investigated it fully and because of their due diligence were able to rescue the woman and get her out of harm’s way.”
