President Muhamadu Buhari’s aide on social media, Lauretta Onochie has attacked Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for trying to be a part of the Buhari-led administration project.

Onochie, reacting to a tweet by the former vice president where he lamented on the worsening state of security in the country.

Atiku had recommended that community policing which was used to combat effectively crime when he was a child, should be brought back.

He said: When I was a child, Nigeria had little crime. We did not depend on police from Lagos or Kaduna. We had a community police system. Nigeria must return to community policing, adapted to suit the culture and history of each of the 6 zones, in order to stem the tide of insecurity.

Reacting to Atiku’s comment, Onochie said Atiku had no idea that former president Olusegun Obasanjo established community policing because he was too busy selling off national treasures.

She wrote: Community policing was established by President Obasanjo but as with #PDPideas, not implemented. You were not aware because you were busy selling off National treasures.

She accused the PDP presidential candidate of now wanting to be a part of the project because he heard that Buhari was about to implement it.

Now you hear @MBuhari is about to fully implement Community Policing and you want to be part of it, she tweeted.

Stop it, Ndok!
