A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to a statement credited to Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria(MACBAN) that all meat markets in the South will be shut down.

The association was said to have decried the lack of appreciation they received from the region for providing them with meat. They were said to have accused the East of being the first to object to the proposed planned RUGA settlement proposed by the federal government to put an end to farmers/herders crises.

Miyetti Allah was quoted saying, “There is going to be a scarcity of meat all over Nigeria as we are going to shut down the entire meat market because the Igbos and the entire south have not appreciated our efforts in making cow meat available”- Miyetti Allah, according to AIT.
