Following the arrest of Hamisu Wadume, some residents of Ibi which is the hometown of the multi-millionaire kidnapper in Taraba state, have spoken up, saying he will be missed.
Wadume, who initially escaped with the help of some soldiers was re-arrested by the IGP Intelligence Response Team on Tuesday evening, at Lai Mai in Alo Holo area of Kano State.
Some residents of Ibi community have reacted, following his arrest, saying that they will greatly miss his generosity, which includes him building a mosque for the people in his hometown.
One resident in the town tagged Wadume a philanthropist who never discriminated anyone based on their ethnicity, religion, or tribe.
Another resident revealed the kidnap kingpin is building a for the community, adding that he help eliminate poverty in many families in the community.
The former caretaker chairman of Ibi Local Government Council, Adasho Johnson, speaking on the arrest of Wadume, said it is a good development as many lived in fear of the indiscriminate arrest by security operatives after the kidnap kingpin escaped.
