According to the presidential aide who spoke via her Twitter handle, she agrees with the Nobel Prize winner but not as regards Omoyele Sowore, the RevolutionNow convener who was arrested by the DSS on Saturday.
Onochie said Sowore made it clear in his speech that he was embarking on a revolution that will overthrow a democratically elected government.
Soyinka made his remark while calling for the unconditional release of the detained activist.
Her tweet below:
“Protest Marches are not Treasonable Offences in Nigeria.”
– Prof. Wole Soyinka
Me: I totally agree, Sir.
In relation to Sowore, he made it abundantly clear that he was embarking on a revolution that will overthrow a democratically elected govt & then as President, proscribe DSS pic.twitter.com/1MzJpVKxcQ
