Lauretta Onochie, President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on social media, has replied professor Wole Soyinka for saying that “protest marches are not treasonable offences in Nigeria”.

According to the presidential aide who spoke via her Twitter handle, she agrees with the Nobel Prize winner but not as regards Omoyele Sowore, the RevolutionNow convener who was arrested by the DSS on Saturday.

Onochie said Sowore made it clear in his speech that he was embarking on a revolution that will overthrow a democratically elected government.

Me: I totally agree, Sir.
