Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has stated that Omoyele Sowore, the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, ought to have been arraigned in court since his arrest.
Recall Sowore was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, August 3rd by operatives of the Department of State Services in Lagos.
According to the DSS, Sowore was arrested on account of a planned RevolutionNow protest which he had spearheaded.

Speaking with PUNCH on Tuesday, August 6th, Falana said, by law, a suspect should be arraigned within 48 hours of arrest.
On what he plans on doing about the extended detention of the human rights activist, Falana said he has sent lawyers to the DSS and he is now awaiting their response.
