#ZlatanIsAScam: Nigerians Troll Rapper For Failing To Send N1m Giveaway Due To Faulty App

Popular Nigerian indigenous rapper, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, better known as Zlatan Ibile is currently trending on Twitter Nigeria after he failed to keep a promise he made to fans.

Information Nigeria recalls Zlatan recently released a song with Tiwa Savage titled Shotan which made a lot of waves about a month back.

The rapper, who is popular for pioneering the Zanku dance style, had promised to do a cash giveaway, sharing one million naira between four of his fans to promote the song on Saturday, August 10.

Omoniyi had promised to do a giveaway around 12:00am on Sunday, August 11.

The rapper later moved it to 12:30am and many fans dropped their account numbers but still yet no one was picked as a winner.

However, the rapper was unable to keep his promise to fans due to some technical error with his banking app.

Fans, who stayed up all night to receive their promised N250,000, were disappointed leading them to take to popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter to troll him.

The fans went as far as calling him a scam and started the trend #ZlatanIsAScam.

Claiming banking app difficulties, the artiste did not send the money to the lucky follower till the early hours of this morning.

Due to the rapid tweets about the rapper, #Zlatanisascam became the sixth trending hashtag on the platform.

This soon caught the attention of the singer and dancer who in turn shared a tweet to clear the air.

Nigerians were, however, not were reluctant to listen to his excuse as they continued to tweet, calling him a scam.
