The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday searched the Abuja home of Shehu Sani, a former senator.
Operatives of the EFCC were said to have arrived at the residence located in Wuse 2, Abuja, around 3;30pm, theCable reports.
Sani, who represented Kaduna Central at the senate from 2015 to 2019, is currently being investigated by the anti-graft agency on allegation bodering on extortion.
The former lawmaker was arrested arrested by the EFCC before the new year and got a 14-day court order to further detain him for further probe.
Shehu Sani, who has always been very vocal on Twitter, has remained mute ever since his ordeal with the anti-corruption agency.
