Residents of Amu community in Mushin woke up to mishap as fire razed down the popular timber market in the area.
According to theNations, no fewer than 15 shop owners slumped on arriving at the scene of the fire outbreak.
At the time of this report, it remains unknown what caused the inferno as some eyewitnesses said it could not have been from the electric distribution because they all use generators in the market and not power from the distribution company.
An eyewitness said: “It couldn’t have been from the electric distribution because we don’t use power from either Ikeja Electricity Distribution or Eko Disco.
“We all use generating set in this market. ”
