Nigerians have reacted on social media to the razing down of the popular Amu plank market in Mushin in the early hours of Saturday morning by fire.
Properties worth hundreds of millions of naira were destroyed in the inferno.
The source of the fire remains unknown but the fire has since destroyed many shops and planks in the market.
Reacting to this situation, Nigerians are lamenting on social media over the destruction of properties and the delay of the fire service in putting out the fire.

Our assets.. where almost all my family members get their income from. It’s disheartening to see their goods go down in flames with help coming 4hrs after

Over 4 hours after, fire is still having its way into unaffected places.

Nigerians that don`t believe in insuring their goods and properties, the Mushin market fire should make you have a change of mind. No one prays for disaster but in a country like Nigeria where things jaga jaga, it's more than a necessity to have insurance.
