Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed Awards N3.6bn Contract To Own Company

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed has reportedly awarded a contract worth N3.6 billion to a company in which he serves on the board of director, Premium Times reports.
According to the report, the move contravenes the code of conduct of public procurement laws.
In further revelation, the contract is reportedly said to be the supply of a whopping 105 “officials vehicles” for the use of the governor and other government officials.
However, a chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Alhaji Bibi Dogo, dismissed the publication as untrue and a fabrication by the authors who he said are out for vendetta stating that it cannot be proved that the governor awarded a N3.6bn contract to his cronies in contravention of the Code of Conduct and Public Procurement laws.
