Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has commended the Inspector General of Police, Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu on the decision to disband the satellite offices of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across the country.
Recall that it was earlier reported that the inspector general of police Mohammed Adamu ordered the disbandment of satellite offices of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across Nigeria following the killing of Remo Star assistant captain, Tiyamiyu Kazeem.Â

Reacting to the decision of the Police Chief, the former lawmaker commended the decision, he, however, urged for more actions to curb the excesses of the Nigerian police.

The action taken by the IG of Police on SARS, in the wake of the death of the Remo Stars Assistant Captain is a good step forward;But more need to be done to curtail the notoriety of its members for rights abuses and extra judicial killings.
