EFCC Denies Saying Coronavirus Is Caused By ‘Corruption’ (Photo)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied that its acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu said that “Coronavirus is caused by corruption”.

In a statement shared on its official Twitter handle, the anti-graft agency alleged that the report is false and misleading. The agency claimed that Magu said;

“Tackling corruption is a clarion call, given that corruption is a huge burden to the nation. It is worse than Cancer, Ebola Virus, Coronavirus and all other deadly diseases put together.”

A piece of video evidence, however, proved that Magu said he “he strongly believes coronavirus is caused by corruption.”

Magu made this statement at the passing out parade of 281 cadets of the EFCC Detective Inspector Course-5, at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
