Unidentified gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Jibrin Giza, in the early hours of Sunday.

Confirming this to newsmen, the state commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, revealed that Giza was abducted by gunmen from his residence at Shabu, a suburb of Lafia at about 12:40 a.m., to an unknown destination.

The police chief expressed that the abductors were yet to establish any contact with the victim’s family. He further stated that investigation into the abduction has commenced and police officers are on the trail of the abductors.
