Oluwo Of Iwo Bags 6-Month Suspension For Assaulting Fellow Monarch

The Osun State Traditional Council has suspended the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, for six months for assaulting a fellow monarch.

Oba Akanbi was suspended on Thursday at a meeting presided over by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

The emergency meeting was held at Osun State Government Secretariat, Abere.

The council also constituted a committee headed by Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun, to further investigate the matter involving Oluwo and Obas in Iwo land.
