Confirming his dismissal to journalists in Abeokuta, Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated that his dismissal took effect from the moment the news went viral.

His words:

“The SARS officer Olaniyi Ogunsoro has been dismissed from service,”
