Coronavirus: FG Gives Update On Four Chinese Quarantined In Plateau

The Federal Government has said that there is no new case of the deadly COVID-19 as at March 1st, 2020.

This was made known at a press conference on Monday morning in Abuja by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire.

This is following the discovery of the first confirmed case of the deadly disease in Lagos state. The first victim is an Italian who has been quarantined at an isolation centre.

The minister further revealed that out of about 14 tests that were carried out, only the Italian citizen who is a consultant in Nigeria tested positive.

On the suspected cases of Coronavirus in Plateau state, Ehanire said none of the cases have any symptoms adding that they have all been tested at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reference laboratory and they are all negative for coronavirus infection.
