Disneyland Paris Official Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A worker at Disneyland Paris has tested positive for coronavirus, a spokesman for the theme park revealed on Monday.

Disneyland said the infected person, who wasn’t identified, had worked behind the scenes and was not in contact with those who visited the park.

Le Parisien, a French daily reports that he was, however, taken to a hospital, where he is being treated, while at least three colleagues who worked closely with him were ordered into quarantine.

“He is a night technician who is part of the Ride T1 team. The verdict fell around 8 p.m. Sunday. His colleagues are asked to stay in quarantine,” said Lucas Gheddab for the CFTC Disney.

Meanwhile, the park management said the resort remains open, and that hand sanitisers would be provided to visitors and guests of the park.

The park is said to receive around 15 million visitors a year.
