Nasarawa Gov Meets Buhari Over Sanusi’s Dethronement

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday morning had a closed-door meeting with the Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule, at State House, Abuja.

Although the agenda of the meeting was not yet clear, but it was however gathered that the meeting might not be unconnected with the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, who was banished to his state.

The meeting held briefly before the President entered the Executive Council Chambers for the week’s Federal Execute Council, FEC, meeting.

On Monday, the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State had dethroned the emir over alleged violation of culture and traditions of the state.

Consequently, the monarch was banished to Nasarawa State where is expected to spend the rest of his life.

Recall that hours after Mr Sanusi’s removal, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje approved the appointment of Aminu Ado Bayero as the new emir.
