The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has denied reports that a fresh case of coronavirus has been reported in Apo, Abuja. The NCDC says the rumor should be disregarded.

Taking to Twitter, the function made it clear that Nigerians should ignore reports outside their official website as people have edited their graphics and have used it to spread fake reports.

The rumor of the new case in Abuja was spiked up on micro-blogging platform, Twitter as many retweeted and shared the rumor.

The NCDC, however, has pointed out that the claims are not true and must be disregarded.
