Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has called on the government to intensify efforts to secure the release of the abducted schoolboys in Katsina State.
He made this call in reaction to the statement on Tuesday by the terrorist group, Boko Haram claiming responsibility for the abduction of over 300 students from the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina on Friday.
Reacting further, the further lawmaker expressed that efforts must be stepped to ensure that the abducted students are not moved over the border or to the heavily terrorized North-Eastern part of the country.
He wrote on his Twitter page:
If the abducted students are with the insurgents and not the bandits as purported, efforts must be stepped up to ensure that the students are not moved over the border or to the North East; And now, every second should count to secure their freedom by any safe means necessary.
