Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has proceeded on self-isolation after one of his close aides tested positive for COVID-19.
This was confirmed in a statement on Friday by the Lagos Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi.
According to the commissioner, the aide, whose identity wasn’t disclosed to the public tested positive for the virus on Thursday, 10th December.
The Governor and other members of his team will be tested for coronavirus infection but will remain in isolation until their test results are confirmed.
“This is not the first time the governor is having the COVID-19 test. He has had at least three since May when he announced that 10 of his aides had tested positive for the virus,” the commissioner noted.
