Budding Nigerian musician, Omah Lay has broken his silence on social media following his arrest in Uganda.

Information Nigeria recalls that the singer was arrested on Saturday by Katwe Police after he performed at a concert in the country despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

His arrest comes after a public outcry by Ugandan entertainers, who berated the Police for allowing international artistes to hold concerts while the local ones are denied.

The singer, whose real name is Stanley Omah Didia, was reportedly taken into custody along with his colleague, Tems, the venue manager, Ivan Dungu and events manager, Prim Kasana.

Taking to his official Twitter account, Omah Lay confirmed that he is with the Ugandan Police Force and he noted all the issues will be sorted out.

The ‘Bad Influence’ crooner also tried to calm his fans as he noted that everything will be fine.
