Popular Nigerian actress, Yvonne Jegede has opened up about her experience from working on a movie set in Uganda.
This comes in the wake of the controversy fueled by the arrest of Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems in the country.
Jegede revealed on Twitter that she traveled to the country in 2013 and she did not feel very welcomed.
The actress said that she was constantly being tagged as ‘proud’ even when she said she does not know any Ugandan artiste. The film star then conclusively stated that Ugandans have self esteem issues, which has nothing to do with Nigerians.
The mother of one tweeted;
“I was in #Uganda in 2013 to shoot a film, after every sentence came “you Nigerians are very proud”, even when I said I didn’t know any Ugandan artist I was labeled proud. I am proud of where I come from, your self esteem issues has nothing to with Nigerians”
