
Professor Damola Oke has been appointed as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU).
Before his appointment, Professor Oke was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration of the institution.

Professor Oke takes over from the outgoing 8th substantive vice-chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, whose tenure ends on Monday, January 11.
Gboyega Akosile, the spokesman of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced this development on Monday via his Twitter account.
He wrote:
“Flash: Lagos State University @LASUOfficial has appointed the institution’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Damola Oke, as the acting vice-chancellor. He was appointed at the varsity’s emergency Senate meeting on Monday.”
