Social media activist, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, has revealed why he backed the reopening of the Lekki tollgate plaza.
Recall that the Lagos judicial panel of inquiry investigating the alleged extrajudicial activities of the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) had approved the reopening of the Lekki tollgate on Saturday.
The five, which included Segalink, out of the nine-man judicial panel had on Saturday voted to returned the control of the tollgate to the Lekki Concession Company, the operators.

This, however, resulted in some youths taking to social media to accuse Segalink of sabotaging their efforts to end police brutality in the country.
In a series of tweets, the social media activist explained that it would be unjust to keep the tollgate shut because the incident happened there.

Imagine shutting down police and Army in the name of an ongoing investigation. This to me is not in the spirit of justice. Read the ruling and if it errs on the ground of Law, Justice and Equity then we can look into that. Thus, far there’s no such claim.

Who will you call when armed robbers strikes after shutting down those instituted to curb this due to claims of investigation especially when it can work concurrently with their operation? Think deeply about those misleading you to think you have been betrayed. You’re being used.
