Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), has written a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari explaining why Nigeria needs to return to regional autonomy.
Agbakoba, in the letter dated February 2, stated that a return to the regional government would solve the problems facing the country at the moment and stabilize it.

He added that the process of regional autonomy and devolution of powers can be achieved by virtue of an enactment-styled constitution alteration.
The senior lawyer noted that the present presidential system of government has proved to be unsuccessful and has failed to address the country’s diverse challenges.
