Two siblings identified as Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka, were apprehended in connection with the death of popular make-up artist, Ijeoma Nweke, who went missing in November.

Friends had taken to Twitter to demand justice for the deceased after her body was found.

The suspects allegedly behind the murder were eventually fished out.

On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, the suspects were charged with murder at Enugu State Magistrate Court.

According to reports, Chiamaka conspired with her brother around November, 2020, to kill Ijeoma for allegedly ‘having an affair with her boyfriend’.

Chiamaka reportedly lured Ijeoma by inviting her for a makeup job. However, when the victim got close to the place, she suspected foul play and she quickly sent an SOS message to a friend. The victim was forced to drink a poisonous substance.

The two siblings also went on to douse her body with an acidic substance.

An eye witness present in court revealed that he witnessed as Emeka Ifezue poured acid on the body of Ijeoma after dumping her corpse at Maryland axis, Enugu Metropolis. The aforementioned boyfriend was present in court, and was willing to testify against the 2 siblings.

The case has now been adjourned to February 24th, 2021.
