Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has promised to fish out all criminals hiding in forests across the state, so as to sustain ‘the existing peace in the state.”
Ikpeazu made this promise during an interview on Tuesday at the Government House in Umuahia, the state capital.
He expressed that the primary function of the state’s security outfit, Ebube Agu, is to ensure that there are no hideouts for criminals in the state.
He said, “We are going to get into the forest and flush out anybody that is not supposed to be there, whether they are armed or not. We will do the needful; we will do what we need to do. We will respond with equivalent force to the challenge we meet.”
