12 Manchester United Players Down With Food Poisoning

Twelve Manchester United players returned from Moldova, where they defeated FC Sheriff in the Europa League last Thursday, with food poisoning.

The Red Devils picked up a 2-0 win on their first trip to the Eastern European country.

However, reports have now revealed that at least 12 members of the squad began to feel ill upon their return on Friday morning.

The Manchester side flew back to the UK on a private jet after the game but still picked up an unknown illness, believed could have come from something the players ate or the plane itself.

Some players missed the prepared recovery training session on Friday at Carrington, while some were still too ill to turn up the following day.

Fortunately for Ten Hag, he did not have to prepare the team for the home game against Leeds United, originally scheduled to take place on Sunday.

The Leeds game was postponed because police personnel are mostly unavailable for the game and are in Westminister Abbey ahead of the Queen’s state funeral on Monday.
