The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, is due to depart for Europe on Wednesday.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Tuesday by Simon Imobo-Tswam, his special adviser on media.

According to Imobo-Tswam, Ayu has given control of the national working committee (NWC) to PDP deputy chairman (north) Iliya Damagun, who will manage its operations until Ayu returns from an anticipated two-week trip overseas.
“Already, the national chairman has communicated the handover to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He is expected back at month-end,” the statement reads.
