Lisandro Martinez, Cristian Romero Unable To Make US Trip

Two Argentine star players, Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero, have not been able to join up with the rest of the team in America ahead of the upcoming friendly games due to visa issues caused by the mourning of Queen Elizabeth II.

The 24-year-old Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez was set to travel to Miami for Argentina’s game against Honduras in the early hours of Saturday morning and Honduras four days later.

According to reports, Martinez and Tottenham counterpart Romero have both been left in the dark with the defenders prevented from travelling to the United States as the US Embassy in England has been closed.

This development means the duo haven’t been able to get their visas ready in time to travel with their Argentina teammates for their clash with Honduras.
