Ahmadu Munkaila, suspected of killing his parents, said his parents deserved to die and felt no remorse about his action because he was commanded to do so.
Ahmadu allegedly used a pestle to kill his 70-year-old father, Ahmad Muhammad, and his mother, Ahmad Hauwa’o, aged 60. Ahmadu’s father, before his death, was the village head of the Zarada community in the Garawa Council area. The Jigawa man is a father of five children.
In his confessional statement, Ahmadu said, “I am a praise singer and my parents used to mock me and challenge me whenever I am singing praise to Prophet Muhammad SAW”
“They used to blackmail me and condemn my action telling people I’m mad they should not listen to me whenever I come to sing praises to prophet Muhammad”
Ahmadu stated that his parents do not deserve to live for their blasphemous remarks against the prophet. Ahmadu also said he suspected his father was having an affair with his wife.
“They deserved to die due to their blasphemy against the prophet, they are abusing the prophet and their punishment is death”
“I am planning to release my praise songs this year before the incident and I am sure I will be free before the time because God is always with a righteous person so I am not in any way regretting my action,” the murderer suspect stated.
