Super Eagles Draw 2-2 Against Algeria Team B In Test Game

Alex Iwobi and Cyriel Dessers’ goals helped Nigeria’s Super Eagles to secure a 2-2 draw in a test game against the Algeria’s B team on Friday evening at the Hamaloui Stadium in Constantine, Algeria.

The home-based Foxes scored first after a goal-keeping error from Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and finished the first half with a 1-0 lead.

Alex Iwobi came in as a substitute, and his powerful shot from outside the box levelled the game for Nigeria. Cyril Desser gave Nigeria the lead with a simple tap-in before Algeria equalised with a penalty.

The hastily arranged test game is not recognized by FIFA but was an excellent chance for Jose Paseiro to test most of the Eagles’ fringe players ahead of the Main event on Tuesday, September 27
