Three children have been declared dead in a building collapse caused by heavy rain, which prevailed for hours at Jigawar Tsada, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa state.
The dead children have been identified as six-year-old Farida Idi, three-year-old Mariya Idi, and 18-month-old Bilkisu Yahya all of Yakasai Jigawar Tsada village.
Mr. Lawan Shiisu Adam, the state Public Relations Officer, said the victims died on the spot.

Mr. Lawan said, “On receipt of the report, detectives moved to the scene, evacuated their remaining, and rushed to General Hospital Dutse where the Medical Doctor on duty certified them dead.”
He added that the corpses were photographed and released to the victims’ relatives for burial.
