Geng Quangrong, a 47-year-old Chinese national living in Kano State, has explained why he killed his girlfriend with a knife in Kabuga Quarters’ Dorayi Babba neighborhood.
The suspect, who was arrested after killing his 23-year-old girlfriend, Ummu Kulthum, in her home on Friday, September 16th, claimed he did it because he felt betrayed.
Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the state police public relations officer, said that the suspect scaled the fence to enter the deceased woman’s home and then repeatedly stabbed her till she died.
According to Geng, after spending so much money on Ummu, she allegedly broke her pledge to marry him.
