Former Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has confirmed that he will be out of action for a longer time due to pains in his back.
He announced the development through his Twitter handle.
Ozil currently plays for Istanbul Basaksehir after his contract was terminated by Fenerbahce a few months ago,
The 33-year-old said he would undergo surgery this weekend.
The former Real Madrid player wrote: “Unfortunately, I will be out for a longer time. I will be undergoing a surgery this weekend to finally get pain free in my back again.
“I will try everything to get back on the pitch as soon as possible again. Thanks for all your love & support.”
